Currently we are seeking a part-time Functions Manager, however we have multiple floor staff positions available too!
The Sandbar is a busy cafe located in Middle Park open 7 days a week. Just metres from the water, The Sandbar offers casual dining, for breakfast and lunch.
The Sandbar is a part of the JBS Hospitality Group, one of Melbourne’s largest hospitality and event companies with over 15 years experience. Currently JBS Hospitality has 10 venues throughout Melbourne and surrounds.
We are looking for someone with:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Driven by delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Organised with good time management and administrative skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Valid RSA
As a Function Manager for The Sandbar you will be responsible for:
- Staff and team management
- Overseeing numerous run sheets
- Set up and pack downs
- General maintenance for the spaces
- Stock Management
- Liaising with bar and kitchen staff to ensure timing for events run smoothly
